How the chat word game works

    A scrambled word shows on stream and reshuffles every few seconds.

    Anyone on Twitch or Kick types words they can make from the letters. First to find one gets the points.

    Find enough words before time runs out to clear the level. Longer words, trickier letters, bigger scores.

Rules

Level 1 shows 12 boxes, 3 more each level up to this. Any real word fills the next box of its length; once a length’s boxes are full, more of that length don’t count.

One letter shows as ? until half time; from 3 levels later, two (shown at 40% and 70% of the round).

Who can use them

The leaderboard shows this stream's and all-time top players for a few seconds; when everyone can use commands, viewers can ask once a minute. Restarting the game keeps the scores; clearing them works for you only. Change the command and the rest follow it.

Chatagram FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no login, no catch. It's a web page you add to OBS as a browser source. The small “Made by” line can be turned off in Advanced settings.

Does it need my Twitch or Kick password?

No. It only reads your public chat, the way a viewer does, and never posts anything.

Can I use it with just Kick, or just Twitch?

Yes: fill in one channel or both. Streaming to both at once? Everyone plays on the same board, and the summary shows which chat found more.

Will its commands clash with my other bots?

They all start with !cg (!cg start, !cg top…), so they rarely do, and you can rename them in Advanced settings. Bots like Botrix and Nightbot are ignored as players out of the box.

How do the leaderboards work?

Type !cg top (or just !cg) to show this stream's and all-time top players for a few seconds. This stream starts fresh each time you go live: Chatagram asks Twitch or Kick whether you're live, so a crash and a quick restart still count as one stream. All time is kept for good. You can hide it in Advanced settings, or wipe both with !cg clearscores (only you can).

What happens if OBS refreshes mid-game?

It carries on where it was: the game and the leaderboards are saved in OBS's browser as it goes.

Does it work in Streamlabs, Meld or XSplit?

Anything with a browser source works.

Is there a chat word game for Kick?

This one. Chatagram reads Kick chat on its own or together with Twitch, so multistreamers get one game for both chats.

How is it different from Words on Stream?

Chatagram plays both chats at once: Twitch and Kick viewers find words on the same board, so when you multistream nobody's left out. Words on Stream (wos.gg) reads one chat at a time. It's the original stream word game and it's great, with extras like YouTube and playing along on phones. Chatagram is also lighter: you don't sign in with your streaming account, you just type your channel names, and it comes in 8 themes with any accent colour.

Where do the words come from?

The SCOWL English word lists (by how common each word is), with rude words taken out using SCOWL's own tags, the LDNOOBW list and our own. You can add words to leave out in Advanced settings.
